2004 Swartz Genealogy Adventure
Wooster, Ohio
Just returned from a weekend of genealogical adventure in Wooster, Ohio. Cousin Barbara and I stayed at a beautiful Victorian B&B right next to the home where our ancestor Hiram B. Swartz and family lived from 1877 to 1939.
Highlights of the trip:
- Going up and inside the clocktower of the Wayne County Courthouse.
- Poking into rain-soaked grounds looking for fallen gravestones.
- The Giants of Seville.
- The Squirrel Orchestra.
- Lunch at The Smithville Inn.
- Touring Hiram B. Swartz's home.
- Leaving a message on a gravestone.
- Many other adventures. More photos.
Thanks, Cousin Barbara! Let's get some more Swartz descendants to join us next year in Granville -- we'll visit Denison University, and dig up some more relatives there!
